Beeton Food Security and Wellness Program

To combat food insecurity and promote community wellness.

Overview:
Reach and Serve established a community garden and food distribution hub in Beeton. The initiative aimed to provide fresh produce to low-income families while fostering a sense of community. Workshops on nutrition, cooking, and mental health were also offered.

Outcome:

  • Over 1,000 pounds of fresh produce distributed to 150 families in the first year.
  • 60 participants completed wellness workshops, reporting increased physical and mental well-being.
  • Stronger community connections through shared gardening and volunteer efforts.
